Office Work Space or Creative Sharable Work Space

Although the world is adjusting to the acceptable work from home culture, some folks still opt to go to their office to get work done. Hi, that’s me, I’m some folks. For some freelance or independent paralegals having an office outside of the house helps them on many levels. Whether the office be more of a creative open floor plan or more of a traditional enclosed office space that is up to the individual. If you are an artsy individual that likes a little more “flare” and the collective work of others a shared workspace is a perfect option. The collective energy and vibe of a space full of people united in a common purpose can help to foster the creativity, agility and innovation that your business may need to be truly productive and grow. The attributes that make shared spaces desirable such as softer furnishings, lush materials, crafted finishes enrich a person’s wellbeing by design. They can make us feel better. They encourage active collaboration or relaxed conversation – reducing the physical stress that affects productivity. They bring the feeling of the outdoors in through living walls and natural materials, patterns and palettes that can contribute to better health and wellbeing.

Alternatively, working as paralegal can require some personal time. Time to really dive deep into discovery responses and research. Having a door to close, four walls and some personal space can be equally important to make sure you are not distracted and pay attention to every detail. When it comes to my personal preference I enjoy a mix of both, I need to be able to isolate myself when it comes to having to focus on details or time management assessments. However, it is a natural human instinct to want to brainstorm with others or simply talk aloud to another individual to ensure you are not going insane. In most cases, a lease office in a building might be a little more costly than a shared workspace. It also allow you the opportunity to decorate as you please and the comfort of knowing your clients can walk into an environment in which they feel comfortable with expressing some confidential information.

So what is your preference? do you prefer the shared workspace environment or something more remote? Or do you simply like working from home and find there is no need for either?
