4 Ways to Stay Mentally Stimulated During Coronagate 2020

By now, I’m sure you are adhering to the Stay-at-Home orders, you’re somewhere socially distant from other people and at the same time pulling your hair out from boredom. Introverts are going crazy from having to share their safe place with other people and extroverts, well that needs no explaining.

So what are some suggestions to pass the time while we wait for this world wide pandemic to end?

Read

Catch up on some much needed reading. I know it sounds as fatal as Covid-19 itself, but trust me, you will thank me once you’re  done. Taking time to read, even if it’s just a post on your favorite blog, will have you feeling mentally satisfied. If not, maybe that article you just read about the Pink Moon will help you learn a thing or two about astronomy, who knows. Either way it’s a win! Don’t know where to start? Check out some of your favorite influencer’s IG pages. Many of them have great reading suggestions and websites like Blinkist also have weekly suggestions.

Star Gaze

And no, I don’t mean checking out Keith Powers’ IG page, I mean actually stepping out and looking up. I admit, not an activity I’d consider until recently but apparently there’s some satisfaction in looking up.

Sip Tea and Breathe

This, admittedly, is a bias suggestion because I’m a tea drinker but if you choose to replace sip tea with sip coffee, be my guest. The point is, taking some time to unwind is nice and definitely needed at this time.

Organize

When is the last time you organized the apps on your phone or tablet? the clothes in your closet? silverware? Paperwork? The list can go on but you get the gist.  Getting organized now can prepare you for the unknown and as a bonus, you may come across items you no longer need and can donate or sell for some extra cash.

Remember, we’re are in this together people. If you have any other suggestions you would like to share, let me know.
